Eyelash curler and the Experiment

When I got home after meeting these new girlfriends from work, I felt all good and refreshed, that’s when it hit me on how much I missed all my gal pals . I had just spent an evening talking of all the girly stuff, something which I had not done in a long long time. Yeah we do need our dose girly chat from time to time, I realized. Its fun to discuss clothes, cosmetics, skin and all the blah without, any scorns around you. And also my Oriflame eyelash curler arrived that day, many of ladies on blogosphere swear by it, so I decide to give it a try. Back home, I really wasn’t sure how to use it and yeah it did look like some kind of surgical instrument as described by a cousin. I just loved his reaction when I showed him the curler, he had this shocked look on his face and yelled at me to keep it away from him when I tried experimenting it on him. Received a same reaction from mom too .  On seeing dipping interest levels everyone showed on my new accessory, I gave up and tried it on myself. After two minutes of figuring out how to hold it, I did get the right way to use it. And yeah it did make a difference, or wait did I just make myself believe that it worked?? Hmm Maybe I need a second opinion, I thought. Mom? No use, she can never really concentrate on anything else when her soaps are running. So I asked my cousin if he sees any change he goes like “hmm.. I think you can only notice some difference if you look closely”. Maybe I dint press the curler hard enough I thought again. I gave it another go, ok now I did notice curved lashes. Really happy with my successful experiment I asked him to check again and he repeats the same verdict. Moral of the story just be happy with your judgment and do not rely on the insights of male species on these matters, as they are usually of very lil help. Then he grabbed it and started inspecting it, I thought oh so now he likes it, and then I saw that he was only amused by the mere mechanics of it. Grabbed it back worried he might break it while his inspection :). Now after repeated experiment I have learnt to use it properly and now I know why it is a must have accessory, so loving it now.

The Mad Rush

It all started when our train tickets to Hyderabad got confirmed just 90 minutes before the train's departure and all the mad rush began. Bro had not packed his luggage, dint have any printout of the tickets and yeah Indian Railways website had to go down at that very moment. Five minutes no luck with the site, we are like, "ok the waiting list ticket should do!". All packed and ready we decided to take brother’s two wheeler as we had very little time left and a heavy Bangalore traffic to battle with to reach the station. Just few minutes on the road and Gods think ok we haven’t put them through enough trouble yet “Let’s shower the rains on them!” I mean seriously!? no rains all day but just when we get out it had to rain not just rain it had to pour (Reminds me of Murphy’s Laws, somehow always right in my case). Completely drenched in just 2 minutes, our bags too, stuck in a mini traffic jam with everyone around giving us those strange looks probably wondering what’s up with these two. We were a total mess but the strange part is I just loved that ride, I can’t explain why but I just loved it. Ok the good news is we did make it to the station on time for the train. And also I was traveling in the train after a very long time, it was very comfortable and I really enjoyed the journey. So lets just say all's well that ends well!

One upon a time in Mumbai

Once upon a time in Mumbai wasn’t half as bad I imagined it to be, a very well cast movie, engaging and I can put it in the watchable category. The movie does have it own share of cringe worthy moments but overall it can be ignored. Movie is all about the two gangsters in the 70s who take over the Mumbai underworld. Ajay Devgan and Emran are perfect in their roles as two gangsters with Kangana and Prachi as their love interests. The entire movie is a narration by the Randeep Hooda who plays the ACP. Its fast paced you don’t lose interest at any point and Ajay as Sultan Mirza is captivating as good hearted don.
The general view apart, little into the movie all I could concentrate on was Kangana’s winged eye makeup of the 70s style, loud n perfectly done. A lil further down I was trying to break her makeup wondering what she is wearing to get such perfect dewy look. Really liked the way they recreated the 70s fashion with polka dots, loud colors and disco. That was as much as I could get as her role takes a back seat in the second half and I was back concentrating on the actual movie. Just when I am trying to concentrate on the real issue of the movie I realize I can’t take my eyes of Randeep Hooda. He did a pretty good job as a determined ACP after the gangsters. I know I should have been watching Aisha for more such scoops on clothes n makeup but guess I can make do with the promos till some local channel airs it. And for others who are still wondering about the Once upon a .... , I think it’s a good time pass movie to watch over the weekend. Enjoy!

So what do you think of this new blog?

Hello people here I am with a new blog which has finally come into existence after me spending a lot of time reading blogs and deciding hey I can do this too. I know the template looks all so girly :) but I just love the way it turned out. Everyone who knows me closely won’t be surprised at the pair of Jimmy Choos on the top, obviously one of my delightful obsessions :) and yellow I think is a happy color. But don’t you worry I assure you will find me blabbering on variety of things. I hope you enjoy reading it. And keep those comments coming.
